Bioeconomy Model for the Transition to a Low Carbon Economy

This module will provide students with a detailed understanding of the theories, paradigms and principles of the bioeconomy and of current global economic, social and technological drivers of the bioeconomy development. Students will a critical understanding of knowledge at the forefront of agri-resource management for the mitigation of climate change and current status of the global agri-food system in the context of population growth, food and nutritional security. Students will be able to critically comment in the advances required to sustainably increase agricultural productivity in agricultural, ecosystem service and natural capital.
