This week saw NatPro, Trinity Centre for Natural Products Research, an IKC3 Trinity College Dublin partner bringing together business from across the natural products sector to identify the skills, innovation needs and the approaches required to enable transition to sustainability. Organised by Prof Helen Sheridan and Dr Gaia Scalabrino, NatPro Directors, business and sector bodies were asked to consider the big-ticket infrastructure needs, the research, skills and changes required to transition to a low carbon economy. A number of challenges were posed to participants about how to maintain and grow a successful business whilst considering the challenges ahead. Ideas assessing from the session are being collated to inform solutions and support required.
