IKC3 and project partners, University College Dublin, were excited to host a unique Sustainability Professionals Network event in UCD on October 1st. The theme of the event was Innovations for a Sustainable Agrifood Future and was designed to share knowledge and skills with attendees which would empower them adopt sustainability within enterprise and industry or as an individual and lessen their environmental impact in the area of agrifood.
Attendees heard from a number of guest speakers form UCD, IKC3, industry experts and successful SMEs including Prof Nick Holden, UCD, David Williamson, IKC3, James O’Donovan, Nature Rising and Environmental Forum, Kenneth Keavey, Green Earth Organics, Aisling Cullen, Thanks Plants and Stewart Gee, Climate-KIC. Attendees gained valuable insights and practical strategies for incorporating sustainable practices into their roles and businesses.
Following the presentations, groups were given the opportunity to work together by sharing their own experiences, help with challenges and offer their advice.
